This report describes the findings of a pan-Canadian scan, to understand the programs available through provinces and territories for children with complex care needs.
CHALLENGE: Design a report that clearly explains large amounts of complex data from all provinces and territories and is easy to read and navigate.
DESIGN CONCEPT: The visual concept is centered on inclusion, diversity, and clarity. A rainbow illustration system represents variation across regions, needs, and experiences. Hand-drawn child illustrations were used to humanize the data and shift the tone away from institutional reporting toward a more empathetic, family-centered narrative.
